2. NURSE-LED PROJECT GRANT (Up to $25,000 to be used over 1–2 years to support research project per guidelines)
Funding for the Heilbrunn Family Center for Research Nursing at The Rockefeller University and the associated funds to support the Heilbrunn Nurse Scholar Awards and Nurse-led Project Grants are made possible by a generous endowment from Helaine Lerner
and Joan Rechnitz in honor of their parents Harriet and Robert Heilbrunn.
AWARD/GRANT ELIGIBILITY
• Graduate level RN with significant specialty experience
• Enrollment in a doctoral or master’s nursing program or graduate level RN with sufficient research experience to predict success in their research endeavor as a Nurse Scholar
• Coherent idea of a clinical research interest and experience in research process at the advanced practice level
• Ability to contribute to the mission of the Heilbrunn Family Center for Research Nursing and also to the scientific, clinical, and professional strategic goals for nursing at The Rockefeller University Hospital
PROCESS for AWARD/GRANT:
• Cover letter including:
• Scope, aims, and design of the scholar year and/or proposed grant project
• Projected time to devote to the proposed study per week
• Planned time at The Rockefeller University per week [as applicable]
• Rational for request for financial support need and how the scholar or grant award will serve the applicant
• All other sources of project funding, including the source, amount of funding, and planned use of those funds
• Employment status and salary [full or part-time; salary by percent effort]
• Curriculum Vitae
• Letter of support from faculty advisor
