and founded in 1988, offers a wide range of programs including the college
system’s only veterinary technology program and leading health sciences
programs.
Position Summary
Adjunct faculty are hired in a part-time capacity on a
semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the District.
LSCS accepts application material year-round from qualified applicants willing
to teach on a part-time basis. We offer day, evening, and weekend
classes. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the
academic year. As a general rule, adjunct faculty may teach no more than
half of the full-time faculty's load (per academic year, District wide), which
varies according to the discipline and number of course contact hours.
Required Qualifications
· Master's degree in
Nursing and 3 years non-teaching work experience in the field. Bachelors
in Nursing with a Master's degree in another field with 6 graduate hours in
nursing and 3 years non-teaching work experience in the field can also meet
criteria for faculty based on the Texas Board of Nursing.
· Master's in nursing
preferred.
Salary
$41.50 per contact hour
